Dogster member Benji passed on December 26, 2008 at the age of eight, from a fatal illness. He was a wonderful boy who spent over six years working as a therapy dog with both children and adults. On February 14th his folks are walking for a no kill shelter as a tribute to Benji. They are hoping to raise funds in his memory for the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League . One-thousand cool kilometres to celebrate 100 hardy years. Equipped with traditional dog sleds, snowshoes and sporting 1920s-style wool uniforms, a duo of Ontario Provincial Police officers embarked Sunday on a rugged journey through the frigid north in tribute to the force’s centenary birthday.
