1 Star Don’t Waste Your Money
I agree with other reviewers regarding the cheap design of these brushes. The brush content is thin and does not extend to the tips of the brushes therefore rendering them useless since the coated wire at the tip does nothing other than scratch along the surface of the fountain. They have now added a sponge to the large brush but here again, it is pulled between the coated wire leaving the wire tip exposed just like the other brushes. How hard is it to design a brush that does not have exposed coated wire tips and contains adequate brush material? Oh well, it’s made in China. What do you expect. Probably costs the vendor a couple of dollars and he sells it to us pet owners at the jacked up price.

1 Star Definitely not
I found these brushes to be completely unnecessary. They don’t clean well at all and, with the tip not having bristles, it doesn’t clean the bottom at all. I found that putting the fountain in the dishwasher and cleaning the motor out with a q-tip and paper towel works much better. It doesn’t leave you with dirty, wet brushes to take care of and (most importantly) keeps your pet’s water bowl cleaner, keeping them healthier.

These brushes make cleaning the Drinkwell Pet Fountain so much easier…we should have got them much sooner!!!

My kitties love their drinkwell fountain and this cleaning kit makes my job (once a week) much easier! If you bought the fountain then this is a must have for cleaning. A+

2 Stars Awkward and Unnecessary
I bought the Drinkwell Platinum and this fountain is actually pretty easy to clean, there weren’t as many small crevices and hard to reach spots as I was expecting. I actually regret purchasing the Pet Fountain Cleaning Kit, I hardly used it in the cleaning. If anything these brushes made the cleaning more awkward minus one spot they were good at getting. I suggest buying the fountain and then after your first cleaning decide if you need these tools to help you. Because judging by the other reviews many others found them quite helpful, I guess I just wasn’t one of them.
