3 Stars ugh not convenient portability
I struggled to get the thing out of the box (it was very heavy in the folded position). Then I fought with it to bend the sides, worried I was doing something wrong and wondering if it made a difference which direction you bent them (there are warning stickers on both sides – no way to tell what is the inside and what is the outside). Once assembled I thought it was working out good enough (my son can push/lift on the sides and lift it a hair but not get out) until this week when he started sliding the whole thing a few inches in one direction or another to try to reach nearby objects in the room (assembled like picture.. would not trust it assembled another way as I’m pretty sure my son would tip it over). He is about to turn 14 months. I would not say this is good for up to age 2 as the description suggests. Nor would I say convenient to transport though maybe easier for a man or a stronger woman than me. Kind of expensive as well (we spent more since we ordered it on another site – don’t know if it was offered through amazon at the time). Was a pain to clean when we got it as well because I sprayed and wiped down with baby safe cleaner between many grooves which was time consuming. Would have washed it outside to spray down with a hose or something, but did not want to have to unfold it and carry to get it there.

4 Stars Perfect for Pets
I was looking to limit the space that my 15lb. dog could explore while I was away at work. I have an open floor plan, so gates weren’t an option. I found this, and some sites said it was for kids, some said animals. When I got it, I was thrilled to find I could easily take just 3 panels and block the entertainment center. The other 3 just fit in another off limits area. It’s perfect. In addition, since it is plastic, it’ll work well when I do have children.

5 Stars Very durable and sturdy
This is very heavy so that it cannot be lifted by any young child. My 8 year old cannot lift it. But it can slide a little if your child puts their weight on it. It will not topple over as this is impossible. I use it to block my garage so that my 2 year old doesn’t run out of the garage and into the street. Once your child is too big to fit in a playpen, you can get this so that they have more room to play, but still have them contained.

It is very difficult during the first few times you open and close it. But it does loosen up and becomes easy enough to setup alone. It is actually better that the joints don’t move so easily so that your child cannot change the shape of the play yard when they push against it.

2 Stars Difficult to adjust
I bought this for a new puppy and it just slides around on our hardwood floors. Needs rubber feet or something to keep it in one place. I found the panels impossible to adjust once they were interlocked. It is difficult to open and close. I just ended up lifting the puppy out of it instead of trying to open the panels. One of the panels was so hard to open it broke within three weeks of purchasing it.
